Wildlife Conservation Act

This Act shall be known as the Wildlife Conservation Act and is enacted to protect and conserve designated wildlife species, including crows and mountain lions, to ensure ecological balance, biodiversity preservation, and the prevention of illegal hunting, trading, and exploitation.

Protected Species

The following species, among others, are classified as protected under this Act due to their ecological significance and vulnerability to human activities:

  • Crows (Corvus spp.) – Essential for maintaining ecosystems by controlling pests and cleaning up carrion.

  • Mountain Lions (Puma concolor) aka Cougars – A keystone predator crucial for regulating prey populations and maintaining habitat balance.

The government may periodically update the list of protected species based on scientific research and conservation needs.

Prohibited Activities

Unless explicitly permitted by law or authorized conservation programs, the following activities involving protected species are strictly prohibited:

  1. Hunting, capturing, killing, or injuring protected species.

  2. Selling, trading, or possessing any part of a protected species.

  3. Disturbing, destroying, or damaging the natural habitat of protected species.

  4. Using poisons, traps, or firearms with the intent to harm protected species.

Permits and Exceptions

  1. Emergency removal or relocation may be authorized if a protected species poses an immediate danger to human life or property, following government guidelines.

Penalties

  1. Additional Penalties:

    • Confiscation of equipment used in violation.

    • Lifetime ban on wildlife-related activities for repeat offenders.

Enforcement and Oversight

The law enforcement within the State of San Andreas shall oversee the enforcement of this Act, conduct routine inspections, and establish reporting mechanisms for violations.

Public Awareness and Conservation Programs

The government shall implement educational programs to promote awareness of the importance of protected species and support conservation initiatives to restore and maintain their natural habitats.
