You should not always take gun shots to the vest

Symptoms:

• Flowing or trickling of blood from entry/exit point

• Minor, moderarte or major bleeds (including arteries)

• Loss of limbs

• Minor to major pain

• Shock

• Internal bleeding

• Cardia arrest

• Elevated or lowered heart rate

• Respiratory Distess

• Diaphoretic

• Altered mental status

• Altered state of onsciousness

• Potentially life-threatening, life-threatening or fatal

What happens on scene:

• Check vitals

• Asses the extent of injury

• Removal of clothing near the injury

• Oxygen

• Chest seal

• Tourniquet

• Applying pressure

• CPR
