# Gun Shot Wounds

You should not always take gun shots to the vest

Symptoms:

* Flowing or trickling of blood from entry/exit point
* Minor, moderarte or major bleeds (including arteries)
* Loss of limbs
* Minor to major pain
* Shock
* Internal bleeding
* Cardia arrest
* Elevated or lowered heart rate
* Respiratory Distess
* Diaphoretic
* Altered mental status
* Altered state of onsciousness
* Potentially life-threatening, life-threatening or fatal

**What happens on scene:**

* Check vitals
* Asses the extent of injury
* Removal of clothing near the injury
* Oxygen
* Chest seal
* Tourniquet
* Applying pressure
* CPR
