Alcohol Poisoning: Consuming a vast amount of alcohol

Unknown Poisoning: Ingesting an uncontrolled/controlled substance not meant for human consumption (household cleaners, gas, toxic vapors etc)

Symptoms:

  • Emotionally unstable

  • Angry

  • Possibly violent or upset

  • Passing out or unresponsive

  • Foaming at the mouth

  • Uncontrollable body shakes

  • Death

  • Shock

  • Elevated or lowered heart rate

  • Respiratory Distress

  • Diaphoretic

  • Nausea/Vommiting

  • Slurred speech

  • Blacking out

What happens on scene:

  • Narcan (only for overdose)

  • Check Vitals

  • Identify drug took

  • IV
