# C05 - Improper Traffic Maneuvers

### <mark style="color:orange;">C05 - Improper Traffic Maneuvers</mark>

Improper traffic and road usage can include any of the following.

* Illegal U-turn by performing a U-turn that crosses lanes of traffic in a reckless manner, without yielding prior to performing the turn, or in an area where U-turns are prohibited.
  * On a divided highway by crossing a dividing section, curb, strip of land, or two sets of double yellow lines.
  * Where a “No U-turn” sign is posted.
  * When other vehicles may hit you.
  * On a one-way street.
  * Where you cannot see clearly 60 meters in each direction because of a curve, hill, rain, fog, or other reason.
* Failing to maintain a lane while commencing with the normal flow of traffic.
* Tailing or closely following another vehicle in which could result in an accident or injury.
* Failure to Yield for appropriate Traffic Control Devices defined as any sign, marking or device intended to direct road usage, such as but not limited to: stop signs, yield signs, speed limit signs, signs directing traffic flow, no passing signs, one-way signs, no parking signs, traffic lights, etc.
